Why don't you just get married?

I don't claim to know what is best for someone else's life, but since I can't get married in any state but one -- and I'm not moving -- why are you straight people getting married?

A new report that is out claims that the out of wedlock births in 2005 jumped to 4 out 10 are out of wedlock births. And, the report states, that the teen pregnancy is actually dropping. These aren't mothers who got pregnant in the backseat of their boyfriend's father's car. These are mothers who knew what they were doing and have chosen not to marry the fathers.

But why?

If he's good enough to have a child with -- why isn't he good enough to marry?

And, why aren't those so-called family groups standing up to do something about this?

Lord only knows.

God Bless

I think that the reasoning behind why so many states are not approving gay marriage is because of the conservatives running the state. The argument by many is that the definition of marriage is between a man and a woman. This definition is from the Bible. What ever happened to separation of church and state? It applies in some areas of our government but not in others? Are we contradicting the First Amendment our forefathers gave to us? Of course we are! Since when hasn’t the US been hypocritical? We make freedom a prime explanation of what our country is. Does freedom only apply to heterosexuals? Hmmm….. didn’t see that in the Amendments!

it's called democracy. The majority of people EVERYWHERE do not want to see it happen so accept the facts and deal with it.

Frankly, I don't care who doesn't want it. It isn't a good system when we don't allow access to everyone. As a matter of fact, interracial marriages used to be on the disapprove list and outlawed in some states, but that's changed.

Gays will get their rights to marry someday and those who opposed it will either have died off or look like fools for their opposition.
